Looks like the Chinese people need to come up with grassroots infrastructure like <a href="http://www.meetup.com/cities/cn/hong_kong/" rel="nofollow">Meetup.com</a>.

The people of China want a stable and prosperous society governed by leaders whom are not corrupt. Many of the people of China - probably the vast majority of them - do not especially care about Marxist nor capitalist ideology nor do they care about the freedoms that are viewed as essential in Western democracies: freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, multiple party democracy and so forth. Protests and demonstrations that happen are often aimed at local leaders who were corrupt, not at the central government or the Communist Party. Stability, economic prosperty and an honest government that is free from corruption are the desires of the CHinese people.

We mustr learn to understand the goals of the Chinese people from their perspectives, not from our views.

Think of it this way: 90% of the government leaders in China were trained in engineering; 90% of the government leaders in the USA were trained in law. Different approaches to solve problems.
